Homework Policy:

Homework is give Monday through Thursday and is intended to be a review of skills already taught in class.  Students may need assistance in reading or understanding the directions, but we hope you will encourage them to as much of it on their own as possible.  If they have a great deal of trouble on the nightly homework, please let the classroom teacher know.  Homework in First Grade is as much about establishing responsibility and work ethic as it is about the assignment itself.  We suggest choosing a consistent time and place for homework each night so that your child knows what to expect.  The assignments are due the next day and don't forget the name on top!!

Communication Policy:

The 1st Grade teachers are willing and eager to speak with you by phone,  in person by appointment, or through written communication.  Please leave a phone message in the school office or send a note through your child's folder and the teacher will contact you at their earliest convenience.  You may also click on you child's teacher's name on this website to send e-mail.
