~Leap Program~
Extra-Ordinary Student Learning Experiences
Overall student program is three faceted:
1
Daily Activities for Individually-Selected
Students.
Students will be selected by each classroom teacher.
Maybe anyone for whom this would benefit. It may not be the
same students every day. Activities will be designed to
cover a different curriculum area each day of the week.

Whole-School Enrichment Projects.
Words On The Wall -
Located outside the cafeteria. Student will get name in
raffle box for prize at end of week if the learn to read,
pronounce and define each word.
Science
Trivia Question Of The Week
-
Question displayed on poster in main lobby and printed in
Thursday newsletter. Winner is selected at random from
correct responses. Wins a dress down day.
Where In
The World -
Student will
identify area on map by name, longitude/latitude each week
and put guess in box. Winner will be selected and answer
will be displayed beside map.
Brain
Teaser Puzzle - Located outside room 107
- Figure it out just for fun. Class teachers award prize for
participation.
Monthly
Math Project - to
be done at home. Each month a challenge flyer will be sent
out in Thursday packet with a due date for projects to be
returned. Each student is required to format three questions
based on the project and they are to be displayed with the
project. Projects will be displayed in cafeteria lobby.

Whole-School Enrichment Events.
St
Gabriel Meets -
Approximately every six weeks a special guest will be
invited to join the students for their recess period on back
playground from 11am to 1:15pm. The will be available for
student to talk to or interview as a class assignment on an
individual basis or in small groups about their specialty.

Special
Field Trips - Discovery Place Family Night, Symphony, Theater.
Spelling
and Geography Bees
