KA Molly Gibbs.JPG

Mrs. Gibbs is a Charlotte native. She attended Appalachian State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in English as a Second Language. She completed her Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching K-6 at Queens University of Charlotte. She is also licensed by the state of North Carolina to teach English as a Second Language.

Mrs. Giroux graduated from Belmont Abbey College where she studied Elementary Education. Mrs. Giroux has taught both kindergarten and first grade at St. Gabriel Catholic School, and currently teaches kindergarten.

CHRISTINE GIROUX

Ms. Mulhall is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Queens University of Charlotte and is a member of the St. Gabriel team of kindergarten teachers.

MAGGIE MULHALL

Mrs. Darling holds a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.  Her previous teaching experience includes preschool, kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and fourth grade. She currently teaches first grade at St. Gabriel.

KELLY DARLING

Mrs. Barich is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is licensed by the state of North Carolina to teach elementary grades. She has been teaching first grade at St. Gabriel Catholic School since 2003, and enjoys working with children at this stage in their education.

Ms. Marbury is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education. Working with children has always been her passion. She is excited to be part of the 1st grade team at St. Gabe’s this year.

HANNAH MARBURY

Mrs. Chiarelli is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.  In addition to her elementary teaching experience, she has served as a preschool Director. She is Orton-Gillingham trained and the Director of Kamp Gabe 4 Kids, a summer camp held at St. Gabriel Catholic School.

HAYDEN ROCKECHARLIE

Hayden Rockecharlie is a proud Charlotte native and excited to be back in the MACS system as a second grade teacher after attending St. Patrick, Holy Trinity, and Charlotte Catholic. Ms. Rockecharlie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte and previously taught for five years in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Ms. Rockecharlie was awarded “New Teacher of the Year” in the 2014-2015 school year and “Teacher of the Year” in the 2017-2018 school year at Eastover Elementary. “Ms. R” is thrilled to continue her passion for teaching at St. Gabriel.

DONNA SPARRE

Mrs. Sparre earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, she completed a Master’s degree in Elementary Education Instruction and Curriculum. She is passionate about teaching in a Christ-centered environment. Mrs. Sparre’s goal as a teacher is to spark the curiosity of her students and ignite a passion for learning. Her hope is that her students will develop a sense of self and nurture a belief in their capacity to succeed.

MICHELLE BOYLE

Michelle Boyle graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She has teaching experience in first, second, third, and fourth grades.  She is an Orton-Gillingham trained teacher, and uses The Daily 5 as part of her Literacy program. In 2017, The MACS Foundation awarded Mrs. Boyle a GEE Grant for a Kinesthetic Classroom.  This is her 18th year teaching and her 10th year at St. Gabriel Catholic School where she currently teaches 2nd grade.

Ms. Ranagan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy Instruction. She is a recent graduate of the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame, a Masters program for Catholic school leaders.

KAYLIN RANAGAN

Mrs. Warren is a graduate of St. Gabriel Catholic School and Charlotte Catholic High School.  She has a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University where she majored in Elementary Education.  Mrs. Warren has a Master’s degree in Reading, Language and Literacy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She is also certified in the Orton-Gillingham instructional approach, and currently teaches third grade. This year marks Mrs. Warren's 25th year as a teacher at St. Gabriel. In May of 2018, Mrs. Warren was named the recipient of the Father Frank Excellence in Teaching Award.

NIKKI WARREN

Ms. Daly was born in Charlotte and attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.  She earned a Bachelor of Education degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is currently a third grade teacher. Ms. Daly enjoys working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education, thereby empowering children to make a positive contribution to our world.

ERIN DALY

Mrs. Hoy graduated from Queens University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She returned to Queens to earn her Master’s in Teaching in Elementary Education. She is certified to teach grades K-6, and is excited to be part of the 3rd grade team at St. Gabe’s.

Sara Hoy

Mrs. Theysohn graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York with a BS in Computer Science. She also holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte. Currently she teaches fourth grade at St. Gabriel Catholic School. She started at St. Gabriel as a parent volunteer, where all three of her children attended, before becoming an Assistant Teacher here.  Next, she accepted the position at the front desk for a few years while working on her Master's degree.  Eventually, she moved on to teach Technology and third grade before moving into her current position as a fourth grade teacher.

MONICA THEYSOHN

Mrs. Noonan attended the State University of New York at Oswego, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.  After graduation, she moved to New York City and Toronto before settling in Charlotte.  In Charlotte, Mrs. Noonan pursued and received her Master’s degree in teaching at Wingate University.  She is a member of the fourth grade team of teachers at St. Gabriel Catholic School.

TRACEY NOONAN

Ms. Halk is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College with a BA in Elementary Education. Currently she is a fourth grade teacher at St. Gabriel Catholic School and coaches girls’ lacrosse and Little Sticks. Her professional mission statement is “Every child is special and deserves the opportunity to have someone believe in them and let them discover, pursue, and accomplish their dreams.”

LAUREN HALK

Mrs. Bailey has been part of the St. Gabriel Catholic School family since 2015. She has been a substitute teacher, teaching assistant, student teacher, long term sub, and is currently employed as the fifth grade Science teacher. Mrs. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Georgia State University. She completed her Graduate Certificate in Teaching in 2017, and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Teaching for Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. In addition, she has completed Associate Level training for Orton-Gillingham.

KRISTEN BAILEY

Ms. Gimeli graduated from St. John’s University with a BS in Elementary Education. She attended Wingate University and earned her Master’s degree in Education. Ms. Gimeli specializes in Social Studies in fifth grade. She also serves as the faculty advisor for Student Council.

LINDA GIMELI

Mrs. Patterson holds a degree in Marketing and Finance from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. She also earned a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, and is certified to teach grades K-6. Mrs. Patterson teaches Literacy in fifth grade and serves as the faculty advisor for the school yearbook.

ELIZABETH PATTERSON

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Hader earned her degree in Education at The University of Dayton.  She also hold a Master’s degree from Wingate University. Ms. Hader teaches Math content to all fifth graders at St. Gabriel.

Ms. Bolick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a BA in Art and a specialization in black and white photography. Ms. Bolick teaches Art at St. Gabriel Catholic School.

Mrs. Mulligan attended Slippery Rock University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Library Science.  She also completed a Master’s of Science program in Informational Studies and Library Science at Rutgers University.  She is currently the Media Specialist at St. Gabriel Catholic School.

JEAN MULLIGAN

Ms. V holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education, focusing on kindergarten through 8th grade students.  Ms. V’s teaching philosophy is to provide students the knowledge of music literacy and to impart to them the love of music, using primarily the Kodály method.  She believes that all students are capable of appreciating music.

THUVAN VU (MS. V.)

Mr. Bayer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences. He has taught Physical Education for over ten years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Along with teaching P.E., Mr. Bayer has worked as a middle and high school Athletic Director and coach.

DANIEL BAYER

Ms. Martin is a Physical Education teacher, Coach, and Athletic Director. She began her career in Illinois after attending Eastern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Physical Education.  In 2015 she earned a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. She has been the recipient of several educational grants for physical education awarded by the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Grants for Excellence in Education.

PATTY MARTIN

Señora Mullis has been the Spanish teacher at St. Gabriel Catholic School since 2005. She was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and attended Sacred Heart/Belmont Abbey College obtaining a BA degree in Biology. She also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Wingate University.

ADDY JEAN MULLIS

Mrs. Caprio graduated from SUNY Cortland.  She earned National Board Certification for teachers in 2002.  Previously a kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Caprio is currently the STEM program specialist at St. Gabriel Catholic School for kindergarten through fifth grade.

NICOLE CAPRIO

Mrs. Connery holds a BS from North Carolina State University and a MS from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She is currently the Technology teacher at St. Gabriel and has experience teaching elementary, high school, and adult learners.

MARY KAY CONNERY

Mrs. Anderson is a Graduate of Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is also a graduate of Clemson University with a M.Ed. in Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified School Counselor. Currently Mrs. Anderson is employed as a part-time counselor for students in kindergarten through second grade at St. Gabriel.

THERESA ANDERSON

A former St. Gabriel student herself, Ms. Gould earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently the full time counselor for grades 3 – 5, and has previously worked in clinical settings.

Ms. Paradis earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Meredith College, and previously taught kindergarten and third grade.  Ms. Paradis completed a Master’s degree at Appalachian State University in Counselor Education and Research.  She has worked as a school counselor in elementary and middle school settings, and currently is a part-time counselor for students in kindergarten through second grade at St. Gabriel.

PATTY PARADIS

Ms. Goebel attended SUNY at Oswego for her undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Mathematics.  She earned a MS degree in Computers in Education from the University of Rochester.  Her experience at St. Gabriel includes teaching kindergarten, first grade, Technology, and most recently Learning Support, where she specializes in reading and math instruction. She is certified in the Orton-Gillingham reading instructional method and has also received training in a multi-sensory approach to mathematics instruction.

TERRY GOEBEL

Ms. Kelly graduated from the University of Dayton and earned her Master’s degree at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.  Previously a second grade teacher, Mrs. Kelly currently is a part-time Learning Support teacher at St. Gabriel.

Mrs. Reap is originally from Buffalo, NY.  She attended SUNY @ Geneseo in Geneseo, NY and received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master’s degree in Reading Education from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  She has both classroom and reading specialist experience; currently she is a member of the Learning Support team. Mrs. Reap is certified in the Orton-Gillingham instructional approach through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
