NANCY CHIARELLI

Mrs. Chiarelli is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. In addition to her elementary teaching experience, she has served as a preschool Director. She is Orton-Gillingham trained and the previous Director of Kamp Gabe 4 Kids, a summer camp held at St. Gabriel Catholic School.

Mrs. Gibbs is a Charlotte native. She attended Appalachian State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in English as a Second Language. She completed her Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching K-6 at Queens University of Charlotte. She is also licensed by the state of North Carolina to teach English as a Second Language.
JENNIFER SINGLETON

Mrs. Singleton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s Degree in Child and Family Development from UNC Charlotte. She is a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor with a background in teaching both regular and special education students ranging in ages from 2-13. Mrs. Singleton and her husband, Sean, have two children, Brendan and McKenna, who attend St. Gabriel, and they are all active in the parish. Mrs. Singleton is passionate about her role in guiding her students on both their educational and faith journeys.

Ms. Knowlton graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She also holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Ms. Knowlton's previous teaching experience includes preschool and first grade. Additionally, she has experience as a reading interventionist serving third-fifth grade students. She is thrilled to be a part of the 1st grade team at St. Gabriel this year.

MARY LAUREN SHEA

Mary Lauren Shea was born and raised in Charlotte. Having attended Catholic school for some of her own elementary years, she is excited to rejoin MACS as a teacher. Mary Lauren attended Texas Christian University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Science Curriculum and Instruction. Previously she taught in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District.
HAYDEN ROCKECHARLIE

Hayden Rockecharlie is a proud Charlotte native and excited to be back in the MACS system as a second grade teacher after attending St. Patrick, Holy Trinity, and Charlotte Catholic. Ms. Rockecharlie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte and previously taught for five years in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Ms. Rockecharlie was awarded “New Teacher of the Year” in the 2014-2015 school year and “Teacher of the Year” in the 2017-2018 school year at Eastover Elementary. “Ms. R” is thrilled to continue her passion for teaching at St. Gabriel.
DONNA SPARRE

Mrs. Sparre earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, she completed a Master’s degree in Elementary Education Instruction and Curriculum. She is passionate about teaching in a Christ-centered environment. Mrs. Sparre’s goal as a teacher is to spark the curiosity of her students and ignite a passion for learning. Her hope is that her students will develop a sense of self and nurture a belief in their capacity to succeed.

Michelle Boyle graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She has teaching experience in first, second, third, and fourth grades. She is an Orton-Gillingham trained teacher and uses The Daily 5 as part of her Literacy program. In 2017, The MACS Foundation awarded Mrs. Boyle a GEE Grant for a Kinesthetic Classroom. She currently teaches 2nd grade.

Mrs. O’Herron earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mrs. O’Herron has over 30 years of experience in education, and she is very excited to be a part of the
St. Gabriel Family.

Mrs. Warren is a graduate of St. Gabriel Catholic School and Charlotte Catholic High School. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University where she majored in Elementary Education. Mrs. Warren has a Master’s degree in Reading, Language and Literacy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is also certified in the Orton-Gillingham instructional approach, and currently teaches third grade. In May of 2018, Mrs. Warren was named the recipient of the Father Frank Excellence in Teaching Award.
ANNE OBECK

Anne Obeck graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill. She has teaching experience in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. In addition, she is an Exceptional Children's teacher, having worked with students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. Mrs. Obeck is incredibly excited about teaching children in an environment where Christ is at the center of all we do. Mrs.Obeck's goal as an educator is to build and encourage life-long learners who are curious about the world around them, compassionate to others, and tenacious about their goals and dreams.
MONICA THEYSOHN

Mrs. Theysohn graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York with a BS in Computer Science. She also holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte. Currently she teaches fourth grade at St. Gabriel Catholic School. She started at St. Gabriel as a parent volunteer, where all three of her children attended, before becoming an Assistant Teacher. Next, she accepted the position at the front desk for a few years while working on her Master's degree. Eventually, she moved on to teach Technology and third grade before moving into her current position as a fourth grade teacher.
TRACEY NOONAN

Mrs. Noonan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego. She also has a Master’s degree in Teaching from Wingate University. She earned this degree after thirteen years as a second grade assistant teacher at St. Gabriel. Since that time, she has gained teaching experience in first, third, and fourth grade. Mrs. Noonan is thrilled to teach at St. Gabriel where she has worked for over 20 years!
JULIE REINHARDT

Ms. Reinhardt has had the privilege of teaching elementary-aged students for more than 25 years. Much of her career has been at Sacred Heart Schools in Chicago where she most recently taught 4th grade, Ms. Reinhardt's lifelong love of learning, especially in reading, math and technology, translates to her eagerness to find creative and effective methods to teach and engage students in the learning process.
Ms. Reinhardt earned her Master of Education in Educational Technology from National Louis University and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Iowa State University.
LIZ JENKINS

Mrs. Jenkins was born and raised in Miami, FL to Cuban parents. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and her first Master's Degree in Special Education from universities in Miami. In 2007, she and her family relocated to Charlotte. Two years after that, she married a soldier and began her life as an Army wife. In 2017 they returned to Charlotte and soon after that, she received another Master's Degree, this time in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Jenkins has taught general education (grades K-5) and special education (grades K-8). She has experience as a Reading Coach and has served as an administrator too. Her work with children began almost 30 years ago and she says that she can't imagine doing anything else.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Hader earned her degree in Education at The University of Dayton. She also hold a Master’s degree from Wingate University. Ms. Hader was named the recipient of the Father Frank Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2019-2020 school year and currently teaches fifth grade at St. Gabriel.

Mrs. Mulligan attended Slippery Rock University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Library Science. She also completed a Master’s of Science program in Informational Studies and Library Science at Rutgers University. She is currently the Media Specialist at St. Gabriel Catholic School.
THUVAN VU (MS. V.)
MUSIC
Ms. V holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education, focusing on kindergarten through 8th grade students. Ms. V’s teaching philosophy is to provide students the knowledge of music literacy and to impart to them the love of music, using primarily the Kodály method. She believes that all students are capable of appreciating music.
DANIEL BAYER
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Mr. Bayer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences. He has taught Physical Education for over ten years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Along with teaching P.E., Mr. Bayer has worked as a middle and high school Athletic Director and coach.
PATTY MARTIN
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Ms. Martin is a Physical Education teacher, Coach, and Athletic Director. She began her career in Illinois after attending Eastern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Physical Education. In 2015 she earned a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. She has been the recipient of several educational grants for physical education awarded by the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Grants for Excellence in Education.
ADDY JEAN MULLIS

Señora Mullis has been the Spanish teacher at St. Gabriel Catholic School since 2005. She was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and attended Sacred Heart/Belmont Abbey College obtaining a BA degree in Biology. She also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Wingate University.
MARY KAY CONNERY
TECHNOLOGY
Mrs. Connery holds a BS from North Carolina State University, a MS from UNC Greensboro, and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and Technology from UNC Charlotte. She is currently the Technology teacher at St. Gabriel and has experience teaching elementary, high school, and adult learners.
THERESA ANDERSON
COUNSELOR
Mrs. Anderson is a Graduate of Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. She is also a graduate of Clemson University with a M.Ed. in Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified School Counselor. Currently Mrs. Anderson is employed as a part-time counselor at St. Gabriel.

Mrs. Downing received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and Master’s in School Counseling at Xavier University. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Mrs. Downing served as the Director of Student Services and Counseling at a Catholic elementary school in Chicago.
JENA PEDROLI
COUNSELOR
Jena Pedroli is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a B.A. in Psychology and holds an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling and a C.A.G.S in School Counseling from UMASS Boston. She has worked as a school counselor in Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Massachusetts and North Carolina. After taking time away from counseling while her children were small, Mrs. Pedroli worked at The Cradle, the preschool program at St. Gabriel Catholic Church and is currently at part-time counselor at "the big school."
GEORGIA BOOTH
LEARNING SUPPORT
Mrs. Booth earned an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Greensboro College and a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities from East Carolina University. Mrs. Booth's previous experience includes teaching exceptional children for over thirty years in the public school system. She has received National Board Certification in Early Childhood through Young Adulthood/Exceptional Needs Specialist.
TERRY GOEBEL
LEARNING SUPPORT
Ms. Goebel attended SUNY at Oswego for her undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Mathematics. She earned an MS degree in Computers in Education from the University of Rochester. Her experience at St. Gabriel includes teaching kindergarten, first grade, Technology, and most recently Learning Support, where she specializes in reading and math instruction. She is certified in the Orton-Gillingham reading instructional method and has also received training in a multi-sensory approach to mathematics instruction.
AIMEE REAP
LEARNING SUPPORT
Mrs. Reap is originally from Buffalo, NY. She attended SUNY @ Geneseo in Geneseo, NY and received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master’s degree in Reading Education from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She has both classroom and reading specialist experience; currently she is a member of the Learning Support team. Mrs. Reap is certified in the Orton-Gillingham instructional approach through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
STAN SOWELL
MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
Stan attended the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg where he earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering. Stan also holds a Master’s in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and Lean Black Belt Certificate from the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineers. While most of Stan’s professional career has been in manufacturing leadership, he also taught for five years as an adjunct professor for the ITT Technical Institute of Technology University in Lexington, KY. Stan and his family previously lived in Lexington, KY for twenty-one years.
