YES!  St. Gabriel School is qualified to receive grants through donor-advised funds. This is an easy and flexible way for donors to support the school using funds already set aside for giving.  Donor-advised fund gifts can be designated to:

Please note that St. Gabriel School shares a tax ID with MACS.  We do not share an ID with St. Gabriel Church. 

Requesting a matching gift is typically a short process that the donor must initiate. You can do this by filling out and submitting a match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.

Many organizations use third parties to manage matching gifts, such as Benevity, Cybergrants, GoodDoneGreat, YourCause. If your organization requires additional information about our school, please see below.

The Jaguar Fund is St. Gabriel Catholic School’s annual fund and our school’s top philanthropic priority. Gifts to the Jaguar Fund provide resources beyond tuition that allow us to invest in our students, teachers, programs, and campus.

Like all Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of providing the educational experience we want for our students. Philanthropic support helps bridge that gap and allows St. Gabriel to make meaningful investments beyond the operating budget.

Jaguar Fund gifts support strategic priorities that directly benefit our students and teachers. Funding may support classroom enhancements and flexible furniture, campus improvements, teacher awards and grants, academic enrichment, faith and community experiences, and other initiatives that strengthen the student experience.

Jaguar Fund priorities are thoughtfully determined in partnership with school leadership and with input from the Family Staff Association. This helps ensure funds are directed toward areas where they can have the greatest impact on our students, teachers, and school community.

No. Every gift matters! Participation at any level demonstrates our community’s commitment to St. Gabriel and helps us collectively make a meaningful impact.

Strong participation shows that our families believe in and support the mission of St. Gabriel Catholic School. When hundreds of families come together, gifts of every size add up to make transformational investments possible.

Gifts are accepted throughout the school year. Our largest annual giving day is Give2Gabes, held each December, when our community comes together to celebrate and support St. Gabriel.

Absolutely! We welcome support from grandparents, alumni families, parishioners, friends, and local businesses who want to invest in the future of St. Gabriel Catholic School.

You can contact the Director of Advancment to discuss specific giving opportunities. Unrestricted gifts to the Jaguar Fund provide the greatest flexibility, allowing the school to direct funds toward its highest priorities and areas of greatest need.

Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, Jaguar Fund support has helped transform classrooms with new flexible furniture, improve our track and field, recognize and invest in our teachers through awards and grants, and provide meaningful academic, faith, and community experiences for our students.

YES  Donors aged 70½ or older who have an IRA may support St. Gabriel Catholic School through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This allows donors to give directly from their IRA tax-free while fulfilling their Required Minimum Distribution.

YES!  A gift of appreciated stock is an easy and tax-smart way to support St. Gabriel School. By donating stock, donors may avoid capital gains tax while increasing their impact on Catholic education.

To make a stock gift, donors should complete the stock gift form and email it to stockgifts@rcdoc.org.
